About
Dr Ali Abbasbhai
I didn't take the obvious route to dentistry. Growing up I was drawn equally to art and science, two worlds that never quite seemed to go together. Then I spent time shadowing a cosmetic dentist and something clicked. Here was a discipline that demanded both: technical precision and genuine artistry. Fifteen years later, my love for this work has only grown.
What drives me goes well beyond the clinical. I believe a smile is one of the most fundamental expressions of who we are. It shapes our confidence, our self-worth, our ability to connect with the people around us. When someone can't smile freely, whether from insecurity, damage, or years of life simply getting in the way, something in them contracts. Helping to restore that is what makes this feel like a calling.
To me, every appointment is an exchange of energy. Not a transaction. It's about building a genuine relationship and holding a space where someone feels truly safe and cared for. My work comes from my soul and I give it wholeheartedly to every person who sits in my chair.

Philosophy
The way I work.
You lead, I design
Every smile starts with a real conversation about what you actually want. Your ideal shape, shade and style. Hollywood wow or totally natural, both deserve the same precision and care. This smile is for you, not for me.
A space of trust
I work with every kind of patient. Nervous first-timers, complex rebuilds, people who haven't been able to look after their teeth for years for whatever reason. Safety, patience and kindness aren't add-ons to the work. They're the foundation of it.
Meticulous by design
SLR photography and 3D digital scanning on every single case. I'm a perfectionist by nature and when the outcome matters this much, the process has to match.
Training & Approach
Informed by experience. Guided by principle.
Post-graduate training with Dental Excellence, Totally Composite, and Artistika by Beatrice. Alongside that, hundreds of completed cases that have taught me things no course ever could. Every year adds a new layer of understanding, clinically and as a person.
I hold a holistic view of dentistry. I don't use amalgam fillings and I minimise fluoride except where it's genuinely needed. Teeth don't exist in isolation. People do, and that's what I'm treating.
The Person
Away from the chair.
Calisthenics, cycling, Bachata dancing. Three nephews I'm fiercely proud of. I have a spiritual practice that keeps me grounded and growing, and I genuinely believe it makes me a better dentist. I've lived in Bristol, Perth, Melbourne and Tulum before settling in London. I carry a little of each place with me.
